Registry
If you would like to buy a gift for the wedding but aren’t sure what to get, we are currently registered at the following places (click on the name to link to the company’s website):
The Bay, William Ashley, and Organic Lifestyle.
Organic Lifestyle is a small shop in Toronto that sells all organic towels, bedding, etc. and as such their registry system is a bit basic and their website doesn’t always work exactly the way it is supposed to. But their products are fabulous and they are very nice people! If you are interested in purchasing something there, I recommend getting the registry list and then calling before placing your order (416-921-7317), just to be sure about availability, quantities, prices etc.
As an alternative to the traditional registry, we’ve also selected two charities that we would like to support: The Nature Conservancy of Canada and Amnesty International Canada. Click on the name of the charity to make a donation online.
Why these charities?
Protecting the environment and protecting human rights are both causes close to our hearts. We chose the Nature Conservancy of Canada because their goal is simple: identify ecologically significant lands across Canada and protect them. Lands can be protected through purchase, donation, or environmental restrictions. Protecting natural lands ensures that the plants, animals and insects that live there remain safe. We like the Nature Conservancy’s hands-on approach to protecting the environment. We chose Amnesty International because their mission is simple: protect human rights through peaceful means. Although Amnesty International promotes human rights across the world in many ways, we like the fact that members can also take an active role by participating in their letter-writing campaigns.
